Something to consider is the amount of attenuation and features the firmware offers. With an S9 there are options like braiins and vnish for 3rd party firmware. I'm not sure that there is much 3rd party firmware support for caanon miners. So you likely won't be able to underclock it as well or control fan speeds. Potentially less versatile but much more power efficient than the S9. I will say, for as much of a bad name caanon has for quality, customer service, and availability of parts, I use an Avalon 1246 for my clothes dryer. It is much more robust than the s19 jpro I have. The Avalon rarely over heats and it's totally gummed up with dryer lint (I really need to clean it). The s19 couldn't make it through half a cycle without overheating. I've been pleased with the 1246 for the 5 months I've been using it.
How did you book it up for the dryer that's a solid idea I keep forgetting to look up. That and the water heater
It's pretty simple, cut a hole in the back of the dryer heat vent close to where it vents into the drum, then put a coupling and attach duct. Block the heat vent in some way so all the air goes into the drum. Probably disconnect the heating element... nostr:nevent1qqsrpcafs5e3ry7wu2w0mrm6u8g58639z29wzxk32fj0dvvns74edfspr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0qgsy6q3ua80awknlxp6m368qssqghct6ra6scca4meepumhcswkuwegrqsqqqqqpvvfujj
I'm going to look into the firmware thing. Looks like vnish might work and I'm seeing if there's an easy way to underclock it. I don't know anything about miners and honestly I struggle with tech issues but fight through it. It's hard for me to not want the Avalon's increased hash over the S9 for not much more cost
