Have you considered trying a double elimination bracket? Take those that lost and pit them against each other and have a second grand final to see if it was just poor match up luck or weak advertising for that match?

Second grand finals to see if a different matchup order could have changed the result and all that.

Even if it were only for runner up it could be fun. 

 @aadffec4 I decided early on to make it single-elimination, and I think the tournament has gone on long enough at this point. Maybe next year I'd consider doing an elimination bracket, seeing how we might have a more competitive and balanced field, but it wasn't in the cards this year.
