 I once had a full list of every movie I ever watched on some Android app which didn't have backup option but it was visualy pleasing with covers of movies. This was in the early days of Android. One day, I updated the app and my long movie list evaporated. 
After that I decided I won't make another list of anything again.

But this comes with a price. I don't even write a basic shopping list and that's why I keep buying too much stuff in a supermarket.
