 @feld Be nice if people started posting material elsewhere instead, or at least as well.

Like, yes, of course YouTube is the go-to for most people, whether looking for content or creating it.

But what if they posted the same content elsewhere as well? A tiny extra bit of time taken would mean that a) your stuff would for sure be seen by people actively avoiding YouTube, and by people who are using ad blockers and don’t want to cave to Google’s pressure tactics.

Seems win-win. 
 @d614bd93 @feld I think this doesn’t really take into account that lots of people posting content to YT actively profit of the ad revenue YT is wrapping around their content. It is not in their interest to make it available elsewhere.
