Have to be honest and say that ever since we adopted this thing of naming our storms, I hear unbidden the voice of Jim Royle (he of The Royle Family) saying, "Storm _____ my ____" πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Here in Maidstone it rained a bit and one of nextdoor's plastic garden chairs slid across their decking a few feet in the wind.

Not as bad as that legendary day when two of the chairs actually blew over on their backs... somehow we recovered! πŸ‘πŸ˜„

(excuse flippancy, in a joyous mood today 😊)

 @b842e4ca @678e31cf I'm with you on that. In autumn we do normally get a bit of wind and rain. But for most of my life that was called weather not a named storm.

 @bade302b @b842e4ca Remember the Michael Fish β€˜Not a Hurricane” in β€˜87 😁
 @678e31cf @b842e4ca oh boy, I do remember, and I still see in my memory the brick wall along our back garden swaying back and forth.

Indeed I do, as I was doing sound on a long UK tour, with a self drive 10 ton truck, driving overnight from St David's Hall, Cardiff to a seedy hotel in Southend. So well planned those tours...

Anyway there was much M4 involved and my Australian fellow engineer was on driving duty that night. The sole 'weather comment' made (in a strong Adelaide accent) was, "Bit blowy out there mate, best skin-up another"

In the morning it was chaos!
