OPEN SOURCE CONTRIBUTORS SAID THEY WERE HAVING TROUBLE FINDING RELIABLE NO STRINGS ATTACHED SUPPORT FOR THEIR WORK. https://m.primal.net/HtAE.png
APPRECIATE THE WORK YOU DO. ONWARD. 🫡
What do you mean? Financial support? Emotional support? I can behave like a support dog, I'm already on all fours. https://image.nostr.build/ca00cc76e1ae0f4665b7436691eface932a1487d62ee4e9a724b3a0e9a51ac8a.jpg
FOSS WITH BENEFITS
But why would I donate to a project because I believe in it instead of to further my own interests? (do I need to add the /s ?)
Because 1) security reviews and project continuity are better with open source, there are so many employees you can hire 2) Bitcoin specifically requires you to trust the code, therefore everyone must be able to review and run the code (open source by definition) 3) we have example of captured Bitcoin versions (bch, bsv) and the market doesn’t like them
I really appreciate what you do. However, let's be real - if there's an approval process then there by definition are strings attached.
were they demanding it from Saylor ?
Out it. I don’t care if the world collapses or bitcoin becomes illegal.
Is there developers who do not utilize HRF Dev Fund??? or don't know about it?? https://hrf.org/devfund
You're upset at saylor but when blackrock coordinates with JP Morgan and coinbase; completely fucks consensus mechanisms, you're left scratching your head on how could this have happened
I would have been surprised if it had not been difficult to get funds with no strings attached. OpenSats will be scrutinized and donors may be dissatisfied with funds distribution (even if advertised as "no strings attached").
You are the MJ of Bitcoin! Stay humble. Stack rings.
