Love the indirect box smoker
It's soon to find a home at the scrap yard, I finally burned through the bottom. I might try to make one, I rarely use the offset, so I can probably use one of the oil drum conversion plans.
i havent made fresh beef jerky in years. i used to love to marinate it first. we didnt smoke it we just dried it. but still its awesome. keep up the great work
We use ground beef for ours, I'll often experiment using marinade recipes as the liquid component to get the meat to the right consistency. My wife made this batch, not sure what recipe she wound up using, but it's tasty!
Hey man, while I have time. I'd like to tell you a funny story when we made beef jerky. It was in Las Vegas. We took the oven racks and laid the beef strips across them. Put them on the patio and waited till the next day in less than 12 hours at that temperature, they were dry Then one day I went outside and found there were some missing. I didnt think much of it till the next week. I got home from work late and went out in the middle of the night and there was about 1 million stray cats sitting on my porch having dinner. true story😂 😂 😂
Nooooooooo!!!
