I wonder how long before AI can generate high quality movies. “Make me a live action movie about the legend of zelda”. I wouldn’t be surprised if this happens in the next decade or two. https://i.nostr.build/MydE.png
Well excuuuse me, princess
😂
Decade? I would say 5 years max
We need a lot more efficient models or faster compute though.
Yes we need this. Computing is partly Moore's Law, but also combining by decentalization. Efficiënt models is going exponential.
I want an AI that will allow me to make video games with prompts….
While today it might look nice already, it would write shitty or unoriginal stories
Let AI generate a decentralized future that anyone has a chance to fairly participate.
I think you could make an AI generated film today. Write the script, block the scenes, make the cinematography/lighting decisions, then generate each frame. It would probably take a supercomputer forever, tho. Question is, how long before your laptop could do it in a couple minutes? Probably closer to 20 years than 10.
pika.art can get you a few seconds that you can chain together: https://pika.art
Here’s a prompt test I did in a few minutes: https://video.nostr.build/e8fdc32634d2005e38a27b101c0a8b299102bdec815ad48cd902d085a4f0702a.mp4

Mixed feelings about AI movies. There is a bit of me which wants to hold back any hope that it would allow people to circumvent the funding criteria and other industry bullshit to allow people to make interesting stuff. (I think in this scenario the writing would have to be by a human for it to be interesting). But I suspect it'll just be the same problems. But yeah.... someone made an AI trailer for a Sodom and Gomorrah: https://youtu.be/pxiiaYFv8Kw?si=scLRKmRQ2y0ZVLHF nostr:nevent1qqsx24m6gsg0qz52q3kvrutsgkje2aa5jghvj97xvec2gp4z63rlmpspz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7q3qxtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsxpqqqqqqzlm73se
damn, that's a well done trailer for sure 👀
Is this ship cannon ?
It will be great to see how much more loyal fans and AI are to the story than the crap some Hollywood creep pumps out.
midjourney v5 so crispy
It'll look alright except for the hands and the story will be shit. You won't feel a thing and you'll only remember the parts the AI fucked up.
This is an outdated understanding of ai. They have to learn representations of knowledge and can combine them in novel ways. I think they are more creative than humans at this point, the only limitation being needing to be activated by human prompting and missing a mechanism to explore this creativity themselves.
