What's the capital gains tax on stocks? Same as income tax?
Not really sure
I'm curious Lemme Google this
It's 0%, 15%, and 20% on long term capital gains depending on your total gain and income level. It's taxed as regular income when it's short term (less then one year held).
Shouldn’t be any tax on it or bitcoin
Tax on stocks is okay, but not on #bitcoin
How about no taxes, Period
Lol 😂
It sounds funny and ridiculous until you consider that income tax was never even supposed to be a permanent thing in the US, it was introduced “temporarily” as a means to pay for the civil war, but the civil was ended like 200 years ago and we are still paying , also back then it was mostly only supposed to be paid by select people like gov employees Ect, but now everyone is expected to pay it or go to jail.
Agreed
I am cautiously optimistic that trump will eliminate the taxes on Bitcoin, but that I want to sell my Bitcoin, but it’s wrong anyway. Also it would open up the idea of buying bitcoin to a lot more people I think, if they can trade it as they choose and feel comfortable if you know what I mean.
Do you have to declare your gambling winnings on your taxes?
Yes
The government is like mosquitoes 🦟 in a campsite 😂😂😂
Yeah 😂, this is also why people say the irs wins the lottery more than anyone else, is because they actually take more on that than most things, say you get really lucky and win a $1M jackpot, you may only actually walk away with $600k after taxes.
I'm not optimistic at all. Plan for the worst imo. I haven't even seen a proposal like that on the table.
