I think he was bullied off the network for presenting his opinions, unsupported by his friends, while being in the minority among the nostriches who support coercion to fund open source development. 

I wasn't following him before but I like his arguments. I agree that the hatred for saylor is unprecedented. 

Social coercion is violence like any other violence. Are you truly free if you are forced to live the way the majority wants you to live?

 If I had enough extra time I'd start 👨‍💻 npub 👨‍💻 and farm sats from yuppy hero worshipers. seems like a decent business model. 

this whole issue is disgusting and probably the most effective way to attack bitcoin. 

on "RHR" today, we have superhero VC Odell claiming his model is necessary in order to fix the UNIX time bug, which is going to be an issue in the year 2106. 

IF THE EXISTING INCENTIVES ARE NOT ENOUGH TO MOTIVATE YOU TO WRITE YOUR CODE THEN YOU EITHER NEED TO RETHINK YOUR BUSINESS MODEL OR MAYBE YOUR CODE DOESN'T NEED TO BE WRITTEN.

 It sucks that everything got so polarized. I sense some regret by the people who caused it. 

It obviously took a toll on some people and may have also set back the objective of motivating everyone to support devs. I guess we’ll see.
