From what I could find, the study he is referring to came from the Brookings Institute and there is some nuance here:  counties that voted for Biden in the 2020 election account for 71% of the nation's GDP, and the counties that supported Trump produce only 29% of the GDP. 

This would likely align with total wealth, though.
