so, it's about as official as you can get while still being in the private sector. it borders on being a public service, because it's a collective thing offered to the public for free. 

 @c721880c I see. So you can use MinID for stuff then. Doesn't that create multiple eID accounts and having to balance things between them or would people just use BankID for everything? 

 @3fb8d7fd in my experience, people tend to just use BankID. you're not going to get much done without a bank account. and you can't really do banking in person anymore. it's all online. if you live here, you need BankID. you can't log into a bank with MinID. i don't believe that system is available to the private sector.
