Congrats. Though relays themselves are not a great solution for privacy. There will be other solutions that can be used, however. Lots of work going on in this space. I was talking last week to a startup that is trying to do exactly this with decentralized tech in the Solid Project, which has some privacy controls (WebACL) built in to the system. Good luck! https://solidproject.org/
Thanks, Melvin. Stay tuned on the data storage front (HIPAA compliance, etc). We will be publishing some specs on that once we’re done with our research. I’ll look into Solid as well 🙏
WebACL is not bullet proof, but it does add another layer of privacy, at the web level. The startup was saying that they see an opportunity around improving how clinical trials are done, when users can control their own data. Might be an angle for you.
We are hopefully trialing Solid with the UK National Health Service. It takes quite a long time to gain traction, in health care. Hopefully in 2 years Solid will be a web standard. So that might help. https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-54871705
