If you find yourself bear the Colosseo, I'd suggest going to buy a shitload of pizzette (small pizzas) from this family owned Panetteria (bakery).

It costs nothing and they're delicious and not a tourist trap.

The food here is ridiculous. Absolutely loving it. 

The other day we bought a bunch of salumi, antipasto and formaggio. Sat under an olive tree in Old Rome and had a picnic. Magic!!
