Today at the studio, I finally started something I’ve been thinking about for a while — blue jeans mugs!
Or… ARE they mugs? I haven’t attached handles yet. They could become mugs with handles, tumblers / mugs without handles, or planters at this point. (I’ll also be adding some other details like belt loops and buttons.)
What do you think? Handle or no handle? Without a handle, would you use this as a mug, or as a planter?

If it had a hole in the bottom, I’d use it as a planter. I like weird garden stuff, like the gnomes etc.
I can’t really tell the size of these from the pics, but if they are lot bigger than a regular mugs at home, then I’d use it as planters with no handles.
Btw they look good.
Thank you! They will be about the size of a large coffee mug. Many more people seem interested in large coffee mugs than small ones 😂
I'd use it as a planter. Is it big enough to put a small plastic pot inside, that way you don't have to worry about a hole in the bottom and it could be an either or 🤷♀️. Love the cheeks detail 🍑!
Volume wise it should work, but they’re oval ish, not perfectly round, so I’m not sure if a plastic pot will really fit 🤔
Whatever you decide, they're super cute!
I'd used them as a planter. also 🍑 👀
lol what can I say, I’m a sculptor 😂
I’d like it more as a planter with no handle
