Public schools are just child prisons with lenient parole. 

 Sinto que realmente é isso. Principalmente as de tempo integral  

 On the first day of my son's 2nd grade (his last year in government schools), my husband was dropping him off. 

My son said, "I don't want to go to school"
My husband said, "You have to go to school."
S:  "But I don't want to go to school."
H:  "You have to go to school.  Do you want to go to jail."
S:  "School is sort of like jail."

Out of the mouths of babes.

Although his school was way better and way less woke than most elementary schools, we started homeschooling the next year and never looked back. 

 Kids speak truth.  Good on you for deciding to homeschool.
