GBTC currently has the highest management fees among U.S. Bitcoin ETFs, at 1.5% per year, compared to the average of 0.30% for its competitors. The high fees have contributed to outflows from GBTC, which reached $12 billion. Grayscale hopes that by lowering the fees, it can address this issue and attract more investors.
