 I recommended the same series last week, but feel the lost metal is the weaker of that series.

 The whole Mistborn Era #2 isn't my favorite. It's enjoyable, and I need to complete it with Lost Metal, but it's not at the same level imo as Mistborn Era #1 or Stormlight.

 Somehow stormlight never resonated with me. An interesting world, but great worldbuilding without a matching story is running in circles. Elantris is good.
