I vote always, to at least lodge my protest, but I understand the growing apathy.

That's part of the issue. There's a social stigma around nonvoting, equating it to laziness, apathy, disinterest instead of how it should be seen: genuine unsatisfaction, discontent, unapproval, distrust, etc.
Many express apathy or indifference, but it seems to be almost a political depression.

Even protest voting is less attractive because the fewer people vote, the less voting matters to politicians, so the less-effective protesting is.
You've touched on one of the many reasons "voting" is futile.

Just don't do it; it encourages these tyrants. When enough people stop, they will have no choice but to reveal that "democracy" is an utter fraud. Government "of the senseless, by the senseless, and for the senseless" is a delusion.

TPTSB (The Powers That Shouldn't Be) have an agenda, and it isn't good. They are directed from behind the scenes by satan and his minions, and no amount of "voting" is going to fix that.

"Voting" and "election" are words with the root meaning of making a choice. The choices we make that DO have great effect are our purchases and our choices to build freedom tools outside of the satanic system. This is what I see happening with bitcoin and nostr, and the more that happens, the less the political fraud system will matter.
Voting is a privilege, not a right. Therefore, the very government that was tasked to "secure our God-given unalienable rights" has now been employed, by virtue of your CONSENT, to enforce the RESPONSIBILITIES that come with the PRIVILEGES of voting. You have traded your God-given RIGHTS, and entered into a matrix contract with man and his arbitrary system of pseudo-justice. Talk about trading down.

So what unalienable right(s) did you give up to vote for the latest clowntool of Rome in his little anti-biblical, anti-Common Law, man-made Civil Law corporation that was set up for one reason - to destroy your Common Law inheritence and American birthright whilst facilitating business-as-usual for the 5000-year old legal/banking dynasties.

We beat the army. The system remained intact.

In other words, "voting" is not for your empowerment(never was), but theirs.
Selecting the Least Worst is no longer an option.
Same - because I believe that demoralizing voters is one of the goals of the system that presents two impossible candidates. It drives up angst and feelings of hopelessness. It’s just one more grind that makes people amenable to “solutions” they would otherwise reject with force.

In 2020 I couldn’t get myself to vote for Trump even though I expected a horror show from Biden. I think I voted for the libertarian candidate, but I don’t even remember who that was.

Local elections here’s are just as bad.

My new favorite write-in candidate now is “gfy”. For all offices.
I wrote in "Ron Paul" for a few elections and now I'd be inclined to just draw a big X on the paper and give up a purposefully-invalidated ballot.

We still have some interesting small parties, in Europe, tho. Let's see how they did today...
I think all freedom loving people should do the research to vote intelligently and to vote. If only the evil and indoctrinated vote, we will go downhill like an eagle diving to catch a fish. On the opposing end, we shouldn't believe that voting will ever fix everything and make life perfect. There are zero savior politicians. We also need to accept the fact that there is significant fraud, so the good candidates have to win by a large margin to be counted as winners.
I basically feel the same way. I'm not ready to just sit back and watch everything burn.
