Maybe cloudflare is cheap because it’s a government front.

This a theory I heard today that’s got me pondering.
 Great one Fren thanks 👍😊

Feds have offices in every datacenter. Doesn't require cloudflares involvement. I'm not sure I ever saved the podcast episode that actually had some evidence for that. And most of yall out here on nostr are using it to pass all of our traffic through. Nostr isn't private but still we don't need to hand them our data.
It's cheap because it's subsidized by stonk investors
They used to be in the business of running honey pots so go figure... 🤔

Cloudflare was founded in July 2009 by Matthew Prince, Lee Holloway, and Michelle Zatlyn. Prince and Holloway had previously collaborated on Project Honey Pot, a product of Unspam Technologies that served as some inspiration for the basis of Cloudflare. From 2009, the company was venture-capital funded.

the companies own the gov, not the other way around.
 There is no practical difference
 Cloudflare is sketchy
 I think so

the Ukranian kill site was hosted on cloud flare (is?) and many people reported it for takedown but cloudflare wasn't doing it. some dude traced the IP literally back to Langley... lol
