 Jellyfin is pretty cool.

We should onboard more FOSS projects onto nostr so we can zap them.

I just switched from Plex to Jellyfin a couple weeks ago and couldn't be happier.
I never got into Plex. What do you like about Jellyfin better?
Jellyfin doesn't rely on a third party server to function, but Plex often runs into fatal issues because of it. There have been times that my whole server became completely unusable because it couldn't configure itself properly to plex's servers or didn't have an internet connection. Jellyfin is fully self hosted and doesn't have any of those issues, which I like a lot better. And it was an easy replacement.
Thanks. That's good to know. I use Jellyfin because my wife always said, "I wish Netflix had a random button."

She wanted to click a button that would play a random episode of Friends.

Jellyfin fixes this. 🤣
Been using Jellyfin for probably 8-10yrs and it's been nothing short of fantastic.
And out of the the shows and movies we have, the wife only watches Friends. Every. Day. 🤣🙄
SAME WITH MY WIFE! 🤣 She puts a random episode of friends on when we go to bed every night.
We should integrate them with zaps and nostr to really take things to the next level
In a perfect world, the film makers would get zap splits.
This is the dream that @indeehub is building
Jellyfin has been around forever it would be nice if someone made a tutorial on how to setup a rtsp so you can stream to zap.stream without having to resort to their pay per minute because ya can't get the rtsp to work with their site.
This is the first I've ever heard of rtsp, but you might be on to something.
Really? That's what the protocol is called when you stream off your own internet from your camera. Also security home cameras do the RTSP(Real Time Streaming Protocol)
Yeah. I just run this on an Umbrel. It's not that hard.
I don't know what umbriel is do you have a link & could you make a tutorial?
BTCSessions has an Umbrel video, and I highly recommend his YouTube channel, but I haven't watched it.

I use Umbrel for my non-bitcoin software. Do you want a tutorial that teaches you how to use Jellyfin with Umbrel?
