The reason I ask (rhetorically) is that I am growing weary of the ‘F*** the State’ narrative. Well, the dog just caught the car, and we need a more constructive narrative. In reading articles on the outcome of the election, there were many observations that it was ‘about the economy’, not about high-minded abstract principles. That got me thinking about what #nostr is really about - it’s about me and my economy’.
It’s “F the State” unless capitalism is under threat. There is no “economy” without it.
Nostr is about individual freedom. The economy won’t do better if you give up freedom now.
The state will find a way to blame its failures on freedom tech. We should not give up the fight before it begins, and part of it will inevitably be political.
It’s like Bitcoiners/Nostriches had a taste of power and are now having a knee-jerk reaction after seeing that the “natural order to things” is insufficient to win.
