 been very low recently. was relishing in isolating today and really keen on skipping jiu jitsu practice and just sinking into laziness. it’s easy to tell yourself half measures to subvert discipline, 

“I’ll take a recovery day and get back at it tomorrow.”

decided that’s weak, showed up dehydrated, unmotivated & exhausted to a rival gym where I don’t know anyone and wound up having probably the most successful competitive rolls of the year so far.

landed 3 new submissions (buggy choke, twister, flying triangle) that had been evading me & submitted all 6 training partners (all heavier, stronger guys) multiple times. 

point is, get uncomfortable and show up for life, repeat. 
 Well done man! That’s really hard to do (the get up and go part). Other lesson is, by defeating weakness today you just made yourself that much more mentally strong and motivated for tomorrow. 
 Yep. 💯. If you find you are the smartest (or most capable) person in the room, you’re in the wrong room. Kudos. 🫂
