It tells us all we need to know about the state of the nation, when the #NationalGrid is glad to report that due to other countries have good #gas storage, there sis less liklig=hood of #powercuts this #winter... once again we are reliant on the kindness of strangers, but if we keep setting fire to our international reputation we may find such kindness is either more expensive, or less evident...

@43d7c4ea I thought this was "by design": rather than operating our own gas storage, we sell gas to the Continent in the summer and buy it back in winter - presumably because somebody once added it up and worked out that this way is cheaper.
I wonder how Brexit has affected that economic decision?
