Gm. Here's one of my recruits. https://image.nostr.build/ad2ccfd7a6fec1160efc3fdf0d4ca17d72ea9a63b9c1aba9cc7991f741553654.jpg
She’s beautiful! Is she a Rhode Island Red?
HE is a young Partridge Chantecler. A relatively rare breed from western Canada. They got lumped in with the white chantecler, a Quebec breed. Chantecler means clear singer!
My apologies, really pretty rooster!!! That’s a neat history on the breed. Thank you for sharing 😊. Do they have a really clear crow?
Nothing specially. Just a good strong cockadoodle do! The most obvious characteristic of the Chantecler is the cushion comb. The small comb and wattles reduces frostbite damage which is a pretty good feature in areas with fridgid winters
That’s good to know about the wattle, I’ll keep that in mind if anything happens to Sandy. Thanks for the info, hope you have a good rest of your day 👍🏼
