Ever heard of Kati Kariko? https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/08/health/coronavirus-mrna-kariko.html https://cdn.masto.host/sauropodswin/media_attachments/files/111/074/799/708/678/378/original/b3c48ee5596e580a.png
This is an example of the kind of quote tweet/boost I miss. I could have written my own summary of the article but I really like nathanheller's take. By using a screenshot and link I can produce the same effect and since it's a cross post from twitter this is pretty natural. But it'd be awesome if this could be done with posts On Here. #MissedQuoteBoost
@134318c2 Ian MacLachlan is another shafted contributor. His work was plagiarized to produce the stable lipid nanoparticle that protects the mRNA payload in the ECF and carries it across the cell membrane. The extracellular immunological millieu is inherently hostile to lipid nanoparticles unless they 'look' just right. MacLachlan's formulation keeps them looking just right long enough to deliver their payload. It's a huge accomplishment. https://www.forbes.com/sites/nathanvardi/2021/08/17/covids-forgotten-hero-the-untold-story-of-the-scientist-whose-breakthrough-made-the-vaccines-possible/?sh=399ae42354f7
@134318c2 Yes. Wouldn't it be nice if the people creating VALUE were rewarded rather than MOOCHERS and LEECHES? The CREATORS of value need to just stop being taken advantage of. I am sure the libertarians running Pfizer and Moderna will agree.
