Mind blown today. BBQ Food Truck has a sign "No Cash - Accepting Apple | Google Pay | Credit & Debit Cards" Below that is attached a hand written note "All credit card payments 3% surcharge will be added to all credit card transactions". Also, the guy complimented my Bitcoin T-shirt. But said they don't accept Bitcoin. "Hopefully soon, brother". *BBQ tasted great but my head is still spinning when I think about it.
After 15 years: "Soon, brother!" 🤮 Saylor: "Buy and hold, never sell." 🤮 p2p cash, my ass RIP, #Bitcoin 🪦 Long live bankers cash cow. 🐄🍼 nostr:note1u5r9k8yqw0guj53lzd7c5lzqj7k85yqryu70f70mudpyuhvdpqxq4x7v52
Handling cash is also not without cost so I don't find surprising.
Yea, fair point. Tbh, I missed and overlooked the debit card loophole for not paying the surcharge at first. I'd word and highlight it differently. It also caught me by surprise. The "no cash" has been spreading, but it might be one of the first surcharges on credit cards I've seen at the food trucks / breweries around here.
