I remember meeting a friend of mine that wanted to go into #Bitcoin in 2019, waiting for $5k to get in. We met that weekend after the COVID dip and I'm like, of course I bought as much as I can. And he just shook his head in disbelief. When Bitcoin crossed $30k one year later he was like "it's too late now" and I just gave up on him. Some people simply deserve to never own any.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make him buy the dip.
I’ve got a friend who simply will not be convinced that “diversification” is a tired old strategy and that he doesn’t need to hold ETH and ETC along with his BTC. Then again, I was in his ear around 30k and he’s scalped nearly all the jumps to the point where he doesn’t really own much BTC anymore. Inherited strategy and poor time preference. I have no prescription for that.
They need to be focussed on learning, rather than buying something they don’t understand.
