He went on Rogan recently. I figured hey, let's give the guy the benefit of the doubt, I haven't read his books. He's dumber than I ever imagined. That's not to say he's not on to something, but he's such a one trick pony. He takes the exponential growth of technology in the most disappointing directions.
What has always bothered me is that the exponential growth thing isn't true. It is an S curve response to larger groups of people being able to collaborate. We have a ways to go before everyone is brought into the community and technology will continue to be an increasingly massive multiplier, but in the end it is people working their tails off, not some magical technology progression. If the people behind it lose their focus or stop having children, it will collapse.
