I am currently making $14k per year less thank I should just based on an hour cap at work.

Factor in the commissions I should have been receiving for the last 8 months, that number climbs between $24k-$36k less than I should be making.

My employer should not be surprised by side hustle and job interview efforts.

How long could you survive that pay cut, even in a tough job market?
 i dont understand

14k per year? but 24k-36k less?

also do you pay rent? have kids? car? do you eat?

too little info

what do you do
 Sorry, better clarifying hopefully.

I work in marketing. The agency is struggling. So an hour cap means I can only earn $14k per year less than my full-time salary should be.

I was also supposed to resume earning more commissions 8 months ago. Instead, they went away entirely. Another $24-$36k per year I should be making

I live in a relativly low cost of living area, but a $14k per year pay cut hurts, especially when I should be making more than my salary, not less.

It's all very convoluted, and confusing. Plus, nobody likes a complainer. But yes, I'm in the 3+ kids category, with a mortgage, small car payment, etc.

Perhaps I should have done percentage instead of dollars. Too late now without doxing my pay.

Thanks for taking an interest. I try not to complain.
it's okay, that sounds rough especially with +3 kids

wish i could offer you help, a better job but i dont have anything other than my empathy to offer

best luck in finding something better of your company to prosper harder next year
