Microsoft managed to break Linux 😬 https://arstechnica.com/security/2024/08/a-patch-microsoft-spent-2-years-preparing-is-making-a-mess-for-some-linux-users/
nothing new - MS-updates cause trouble with dual-boot installations at least 3 years now - they are manipulating the boot-loader regularly .... my opinion: this is intendet, to reduce the lost-users for windows ... because every time the device only boots windows ... and the boot-loader has to be fixed, to find the linux-system again .... this is no mistake - this is intendet
The answer would seem to be, have nothing to do with Windows. I understand some people need for their work (e.g. to run CAD if self-employed) but it is better to separate them by running a Linux PC and a Windows PC.
Makes sense. If they aren't testing updates from CrowdStrike, why would they bother to test their own?
