Trying out a retrofit planner to look at options for going zero carbon for our home. Looks like a heatpump will cost at least £25-30k and end up costing us about £1500 extra a year on electricity bills. I really want to make some improvements but not sure we can afford that!
@2d6fed24 There is some encouraging progress from Octopus on bringing down prices https://octopus.energy/get-a-heat-pump/ My ASHP system didn't come close to the install cost you've outlined (for a 3 bed detached house replacing an oil-based system with no boiler).
