I think the reality of today's world is that most people aren't prepared to sacrifice most of their unnecessary, perceived luxuries in order to affect change in the system in a way that would be meaningful.

Paying for and using certain services only perpetuates the things that many people complain about nowadays.

Even simple things like using an ad-blocker go a long way to stifle these censorious industries that put all their effort and profits to drive a certain narrative, limit what we can say and do, and impose their views onto us as 'the morally right thing'. Nowadays, even 'influencers' are censoring themselves in order to keep making money from what they do, thanks to the platforms they choose to make content for.
