 Relativity, propaganda, and rot
The worse thing is, both sides hate America so much, just in their own ways.
Pretty sure the right still flies the American flag.
For superficial purposes. If you don’t believe in freedom for all, even people you don’t like or agree with, then flying a flag that represents freedom, is hypocritical and for clout.
Idk anyone on the right or left that is pro slavery so I'm not sure what you're referring to. I'm kinda unsure about this note in general, because as an anarchist, I hate the American govt, but not America.
Don’t be dumb, you know what i’m talking about. Both sides suck ass, both sides hate America, if you have a political party you align with, you are apart of the problem.
I don't. I understand why you can say this about the left because many outright say they hate america, but I don't know how the right or republicans can be described this way.
Hating americans = hating america. Both left and right suck, you’re not an anarchist if you don’t agree. You are a superficial imposter of one.

If you hate the government so much, why dickride any political party.
Both left and right do suck, but that doesn't mean I understand how you can think the right hates America or Americans unless you're referring to tiny extremist minorities like the westbureau Baptists
Go ask a group of republicans about what they think about Gay Americans, or Black Americans, and come back to me.
On gays, they will say one of 2 things, do what you want and leave me out of it OR they will say something about hate the sin not the sinner. Neither of which display hatred for a person.

On blacks.... I mean there are many black Republicans, so many that several have been elected to congress. So if you're implying that Republicans are pro slavery, you're way off.
Did you go ask a group of Republicans just now, or are you just making assumptions on what you think they will say based on your personal perception and admiration for them?
I live in a red state, so most of my family is republican and have asked this to many republicans in the past.
And where do you stand? Right or left?
I don't, on the political compass, every time I take it, I'm on the line in the middle way down at the bottom and it flips to the left or right of that line just barely every time I take it. Litterally a libertarian centrist.
I’d love to be proven wrong, please prove me wrong, but I live in missouri dawg, I grew up being called the most racist shit, and it wasn’t from people on the left. I think acting as if both sides don’t hate America in their own ways, is hypocritical.
I know, I'm from the same place. But you're putting your anecdotal evidence above reality. Reality is, slavery and discrimination on race is illegal in Missouri and there are no policies introduced to end either one. Just cuz you met some racist folks in your life doesn't mean the entire half of the country hates blacks. I litterally got married to a black woman this weekend and the entire wedding party on my side is Republicans and all of them love my wife and have no intention to end her freedom so unless you can give a more concrete example that shows Republicans hate black people then you're just gunna have random anecdotes that I can meet with my own showing the opposite.
I don't admire Republicans, and pretending like i do because of one instance where I'm calling out some bs you're spewing is the real problem with this country. Truth is truth regardless of if you like the person or group or fact.
 What bs am I spewing?
You're saying that both sides hate America. While I think Republican policies are dog shit, they don't hate america.
Okay if that’s true, then the left doesn’t hate America either. I’ve never seen any leftist hate america, they love america.
How when many on the left say this country was founded on racism and that it will never get past that(kendi) . They don't fly the flag, many outright say they hate America, they claim private property/gun rights should be abolished (considering these are enshrined in our founding documents, this is hatred of the Us).
I know a lot of leftists who fly the American flag. I know a lot of leftists who own guns. I know a lot of republicans who hate america. It seems you only hate one side, and anecdotally hate the other. It’s fun to see you just slowly come out as a republican the whole thread.

Republicans would NEVER take away our rights, it’s just the dirty leftists. Right?

Both want to take rights away. It’s just different rights.
You continue insinuating I'm a republican through this thread is getting you now where, especially when you ditch your previous talking points as soon as i brought up that I am married to a black woman. And funny enough, I also think gays should get married and drugs should be legal! Almost like in your eyes I couldn't be a republican WITHOUT the opposite being true.

Again, you're just using anecdotes to back up your statements, not facts. You do know this is the show me state, right? The statistics are clear, democrats are anti-gun and against states rights, leftists are against private property and are themselves racist (go read kendi if you don't believe me). These are facts that can be looked up, not "I know a guy". I litterally know a native American who supports Trump but that doesn't mean shit about demographics
While anecdotes are subjective, it’s important to acknowledge historical context. The Democratic Party has a documented history of supporting slavery, and despite shifts over time, certain tactics seem consistent. Labeling others as racist while introducing divisive policies that subtly reintroduce segregation is a troubling pattern. This isn’t conjecture; it’s observable in modern policy decisions and rhetoric. https://image.nostr.build/140d718f8b029044c76f006ea494f2d3231d8fd9140283c7ceef5ea694845d8d.jpg
The parties switched, you learn that in elementary school.
The “parties switched” narrative is pure propaganda and has been debunked time and again. If you seriously believe what’s being taught in schools, it’s time to dig deeper. There was never a historical reversal. I could lay out every chronological and factual detail, but that would take more than an hour to break down. From day one, Democrats have been the party of big government and massive spending, while Republicans have always championed limited government and the core principles of the U.S. Constitution. The philosophical lines have never shifted—except in the minds of those pushing the Democratic agenda.
 Both parties suck ass.
Too much hopelessness and focusing on the negatives. But things will change. I don't think these cultural states are permanent.
