Thanks for reminding me. I want to build a bot for doing exactly this. I think I’ve finally figured out how it can work—affordably.

OT but why isn't alt text scanning built in to the reading device? Why is "save, crop, use Lens, copy text, switch back to app and paste" not a one-click option?

I’ve raised same question. Just as “translation” is a standard feature, so too could “scan text.”  Expecting everyone to translate often complex posts to assist perhaps 3% of their followers is admirable, but unrealistic.
