This is Plebnet. However, I have suggested Baby Plebs as a similar approach to what you are suggesting. My take is that development "on Nostr, or of Nostr" is too broad for this. I could consider Bitkarrot or Vic to be "Nostr devs" but the reality is that they aren't defined by this role. They predominantly don't "develop Nostr itself" but rather integrate specific functions into the Nostr web. Another friend of mine develops primarily video games- he may have overlap between what Vic and Karrot know but he lives in a totally different development world than they do. Development is a massive, broad spectrum. What I see is a demand for mentors and leadership in this space. But there is plenty of room for amateurs to connect with very experienced and dedicated individuals. That's what makes Nostr great. So while I would like to see this come to fruition- I think it becomes easier to see that Nostr needs communities first. And NIP-29 probably doesn't cut it. We need Nostr websites. Cookie cutter shit. This is where relay.tools comes in to play. Once we expand the Nostr ecosystem substantially, there will be PLENTY of these types of groups. For the life of me, I cannot wait.
