You can run orbot in VPN mode on your main profile then create a work profile and use your VPN and any apps in there, otherwise you'll have to root the device and do some setting up in something like nekobox and you'd be able to split tunnel your apps thru orbot, your VPN, and clearnet/i2p or whatever you need. Having an always on VPN won't allow you to split tunnel apps, so you'll be running tor through your VPN.
But are the profiles not separate? So that main profile simply is all through tor and then the second one all through VPN?
Correct they would be separate, however it'd be possible to connect to orbot in the work profile using SOCKS port 9050 if the app supports it.

I guess another option would be to setup own VPN that would do Tor through mullvad and route my traffi. Then I just connect to my own VPN
