 @Doc_Wolverine my favorite part about the Minolta/early sony honeycomb metering is it always nails exposure, without having live view (since it's a dslr or film camera).

Essentially there's a 14 segment meter in a honeycomb pattern with the a-7 even giving you a direct readout of what the meter sees. Even the cheap plastic cameras can take pics this good.
