There is a lot of misinformation in this article. I'm from the same country as Mr Yaxley-Lennon, it had fuck all to do with his phone, he was charged with contempt of court for issuing a documentary that he was ordered not to do so.

 Is it better than having a decoy profile and pin?  

 Depends on the situation. Authorities just giving it a once over vs confiscating it or boarder agents cloning the hard drive.  

 Supposedly graphene is encrypted - but I wouldn't know how to verify this. I don't care if they copy a bunch of encrypted junk. I'll even load it up with movies that they'll have to save forever in hopes of decrypting. 

 Encryption is only as good as the password. A 4 digit code doesn't take that long to brute force.

 It doesn't work like that. 
The PIN on latest Pixels works like the PIN on hardware wallets with Secure Element. The encryption key is not the PIN. The key is protected by the SE and the PIN is used to ask to the SE for the key. The SE avoids PIN bruteforce. 

 It took the government 4 months to crack the iPhone of the attempted Trump assassin in PA. 

 That confirms the fact they don't bruteforce the PIN.  

 It's quite new, it has been added this year. This month the added "private space" which a perfect feature to let's say delete it before border 😅

 I have a specific travel phone with basically nothing on it, because I know I can be denied entry if I don't open it at the border  

 All well and good if you have time to PIN in. I’ve had a device confiscated in a non-permissive environment and never given the option to fake PIN in.
