On the whole btcclock/blockclock drama. I totally get how NVK feels, it was his baby. I imagine he agonised over taking action.
I also deeply respect Djuri and his building skills, and understand it must be horrible having a repo taken down.
Personally I avoid treading on other projects toes when building. I get in foss you can, but it doesn't sit right with me. There is plenty to build without replicating,
What I'm really looking forward to is Djuri building something completely unique and brilliant (which he is more than capable of doing).
Well said Ben
Team work makes the dream work
People should be free to compete with his baby, mostly when FOSS alternatives don't exists.
What did I miss, what's the drama about?
A block clock that is actually open-source and not overpriced is quite the change to what coinkite offers. I am not ready to pay that kind of money for basically a closed source IoT device that wants to connect to either my Bitcoin node or the www.
