Alibaba bolsters US economy with cross-border trade growth

Alibaba, a global e-commerce giant, has supported the American economy through cross-border trade with China. According to a report commissioned by Alibaba and conducted by NDP Analytics, sales of American products on Alibaba's online marketplaces to Chinese consumers reached $66.2 billion in 2022, contributing $52.9 billion to the US GDP and supporting over 403,000 jobs. The report also highlights the role of small businesses, which generated $6.7 billion in sales on Alibaba platforms. The positive impact extends beyond direct sales, with $41.3 billion in additional output for companies in the supply chain and the support of 232,044 jobs in related industries and communities.
