Oddbean new post about login | logout I was clearing the attic today and decided it was finally time to let go of my old laptop from my Uni days. Too old to be useful I thought “damn, I’ll have to take out the HDD, that’ll be a faff”. Well, that turned out to be just 4 screws to undo. And turns out if you wanted to replace or upgrade the RAM, that was 1 screw to undo. Battery clipped in and out (so you could replace it or take a spare!). As much as I love my Mac, the lack of ease for at home repairing or upgrading is ridiculous.
