This is actually the sort of thing which would be super useful for someone who hasn't got an official store maybe. Like they are building in a hired studio or their garden shed or lock up. Less overheads. Not looking for fancy hipster bike stores. Looking for tinkerer bike genius  who understands lower budgets lol 

 What’s wrong with your bike? 

 Currently, new bottom bracket, cassette and chain. Also wheels are potentially bad lol. I just bought it a while ago cos it was local on FB market place and cheap, steel frame. In a rush. Keeps needing bits and bobs, all adding up to a fair amount, and was thinking I should save and get a decent old cromoly workshorse/basic tourer instead. Something that will actually last a lifetime with better (2nd hand) components to begin with. Rather than keep spending on repairs and replacements. 

Really it could be a building project, but I'll need to learn how to do that and have more free time (which I don't really have). So sort of looking for someone who builds bikes as a living. Maybe slightly off the official bike store grid  

 Ok sounds like a lot of little issues, sorry can’t help in this case. Having the right tools is crucial and unfortunately a necessary investment for repairing on your own… 

 Yes there's also that. I wouldn't know where to begins and wouldn't have the tools. Although there are workshop places you can go for free that have tools and people to help you. But they tend to be on when I'm at work :(

 Was thinking more services like repair and build, but yeah also selling of bikes, frames, parts etc. but generally trades people. More like TrustATrade or something. But yeah all of the above lol 

 @BTCMap.org why is it not possible to search ie for a country/city/region and a certain trade, coffee, bicycle / bike, pc service etc? Then, API to every Nostr client to form a marketplace? @damus @Nostur @Iris @Amethyst & others

 Don Valerio (🇲🇽 ) still does custom jobs for pro athletes; he's also cool and fun with couriers and bikers that come hang to his workshop
I think he doesn't do chromolly, but good old fashioned fierrolly (steel)
Las time I visit I talked them about bitcoin and drop a seedsigner to his apprentice... Might visit soon again for service 🤔  

 Been cycling along the canal, there's a bit of a grey market there of people doing canal boat-specific trades, arts/crafts, trades people generally, food and whatnot.

Would be the perfect place for a lightning grey market :)
