Algorithmic silos run deep. At a family dinner in Cambridge, this evening, discovered my mother, possibly the kindest human I know, wished Trump had been or would be assassinated. My ethical concerns about that were received with seething disgust and I was told my outlandish views were the reason I've lost so many friends over the last few years.
