I haven't zapped any large amounts. My default zap is 21 sats, and my max zap is 100 sats. If I had a specific, compelling reason to zap more (ie. lost a bet, making a purchase of some sort, etc), I definitely would, but for the purpose of rewarding quality content, I've found that the 21-100 sat range is just fine. The lower amounts allow me to reward more notes than if I was zapping 500+ zaps. I have a budget, and I want to be able to reward the most people while staying within my means. Plus, my goal is to increase my holdings over time, and if I'm pretending to be a high-roller with overly generous zaps every day, I'm shooting myself in the foot for sake of promoting an image that isn't authentic.

I like this. My strategy is 98% of portfolio goes to cold storage, 1% goes to Hot Wallet storage for accesible transactions, and the other 1% goes to donating zaps to strangers and friends. I usually like 21 zaps but I’ve also played around with 5 zaps because like you wise you can zap more people. When there is a cause / purpose behind the zap other than I just like the note than I’m willing to zap 1k-10k zaps as it’s still minute compared to what donations are like with fiat. Though we have to admit it is different since these zaps are increasing in value as its bitcoin (sats), however if it’s separate from cold storage and hot wallet portfolio you can zap zap zap ⚡️ But yea 5-100 zaps is sweet spot and simply liking a note and showing that you care that way is enough for a lot of people. Zaps are just bonus to let people know that you truly care or that you are super generous for the day. These are my thoughts when it comes to zaps. As Bitcoin goes up in value more, my zap % will have to do another rebalancing because the sats will indeed more scarce and worth more.

Well said! I literally have a zap fund so it's just sharing the love. I can't help but come from a place from abundance despite the scarcity of Bitcoin. Bitcoin will appreciate in value, though, so will I. I hope people are staying ahead on their skill set as it's really competitive in this world. If your in the space, I'd say it's a step in the right direction.
