 I believe its a documented bug.  

 There is a dark mode video player bug related to iOS 18 beta. 

Possible this is another iOS 18 introduced bug.

 How to switch to dark mode. I only have light mode so far 🫣 

 I personally add dark mode switcher to my control panel and use that. affects whole system instead of individual apps 

 But Damus only works in dark mode and has no switch for dark mode? 

 Damus has dark and light mode, its based on the system setting 

 Okay, then it´s makes sense why i don´t find the switch in the App^^
