I know that not all protocols or federations allow the exchange of sats for tokens, but for those that do, people might be willing to sacrifice some value in exchange for privacy.

Personally, if I wanted to prioritize privacy, I would only exchange a small amount through these systems—nothing more than 100,000 sats. But again, it all depends on your preferences and individual circumstances.
