I’m old enough to remember when u could drive a car on the highway in relative peace.
Society has become so boomerfied & zoomerfied that it’s like a nursing home & a children’s play pen all in one.
Everything is “for your safety” and every service provider's priority is "your safety" - as if they actually give a shit about you.
From the humiliation rituals at the airport, to the masks during lockdowns, to the helmets being enforced on scooters & their non allowance after 11pm in places like Oslo (in Spain they're banning under 21's from electric scooters...lol), to the modern cars that beep at you about everything from a seat belt, to lane change alerts on the highway.
All of it is designed for the lowest common denominator of mid-wit. It's an insult to anyone with a brain and some agency. And for everyone else, it trains them to be ever more soy-jacked, dependent and useless.
All the more reason to build a parallel society, including our own cars, our own cities, our own roads, our own social networks, our own airports, our own airlines and our own city-states.

Give me liberty, or give me death. 🙌👌
I hate that shit too. give me a stick shift truck from the 90s any day
Ban seatbelts and open-source automatic lane changing software
Are you 137 on a 120? Thats dangerous
Go on foot! It's strange how followers of such a disruptive technology as bitcoin are also retrograde technophobes
Nah. I love cars. I was even a stunt driver and raced motorbikes. I just don’t like being micro managed, particularly by a car.
If you prefer being nannied, that’s on you
