Yeah, 10% would be sky high if you’ve heavily invested. But if you’re earning and spending in the space maybe even higher is natural, thinking of those living at very low fiat levels who can start making a living on sats soon…
Not much at all, but my setups pretty good. And I wouldn't throw sats into custodial lightning wallets in an altruistic attempt to help lightning. The best thing you can do is get your setup where you want it to be, and use it for your specific use case. Some freaks are routing, some freaks are private, some freaks just need a place to sovereignly zap and get zapped. Some freaks are preparing to be Uncle Jim's, some freaks are having fun playing with the toys. Start9 x Albyhub is pretty legit and is most likely the gift that will keep giving, as the FOSS improves.
Yeah it’s not about altruism as such, but still we need more Bitcoin on Lightning… Since I’m going into the tech for real now I think it will be a good motivator for me to risk a bit more, that is another reason. Also since Lightning is super liquid it will make me search for new and better services constantly! These things could be the same for most, and are also very good drivers for adoption :-)
1% is a good start to test the waters, then you can bump it up a few more percentage points. But the 10% recommendation is a good limit
Yep, agree! Buidling on Lightning is of course the really important part, that is possible for almost anyone :-)
The same amount you would be comfortable losing on a night out, for myself as a custodial user 200k feels extreme to have hanging around
Yep, I see it as cash in a wallet or fiat bank, it might disappear whenever ;-) But also I’ve never lost any key ever, nor any wallets or such since I was 15, I’ll probably be OK!
