As an Indian living in India, I can’t wholeheartedly agree with all of raqib’s statements, yes, he’s right about the rise of authoritarianism, and troubling hate speech and violence, also to add the troubling censorship issues, part of the reason why I’m on a censorship resistant protocol. Those issues should be highlighted and shared widely, because they are in general, true.
But “The Kashmir issue” has a lot of context that needs to be read through before taking sides. It has a lot of nuances, issues like cross border funding of terrorism, an entire exodus and mass murder of minority Hindus in Kashmir that also needs to be taken into account.
The state is bad, but it’s not like all sides have their hands clean either.
